Powder Springs residents and visitors have a new, welcoming sign in downtown on a wall outside Sweet Southern Coffee and Dessert at 4460 Marietta Street. Muralist John W. Christian painted the sign, which represents a sort of “homecoming” for the artist whose first business was located in downtown Powder Springs more than 30 years ago. Mayor Al Thurman and members of the City Council were on hand for the unveiling.
