Doyal Hill Park

Acworth’s new Doyal Hill Park opened in December, and was named in honor of Doyal Hill, the first African American to serve on Acworth’s city council. Hill served for 12 years from the mid-1980s into the early 1990s. This event also featured the unveiling of interpretive history signage and public art celebrating the rich history of Acworth’s black community. The park is located at 4410 Cherokee St.
